Bonsai is an after-school program that has been serving children of at-risk families since February of 2016. It is a collaborative effort between Inca Link, an international missions organization, and Iglesia Bíblica Bautista de Manta, and is held in the church’s facility five days a week. We provide children with a healthy lunch, assist them with their homework, participate in various games and crafts, and share the love and Gospel of Jesus with them creatively through stories, skits, and music.
The staff of Bonsai also meets regularly with the parents of participating children to build relationships with them and to discuss issues of family, finances, and faith. The objective of these meetings is to help to develop healthy families, to introduce parents to Jesus Christ, and to connect them to the church where they can be discipled and grow.
Bonsai is directed by Will and Amanda Eason, who are Inca Link missionaries that are members of the church. For more information on Bonsai, you can visit their website at incalink.org/ministries/bonsai/ or their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bonsaiincalink/. You can also contact the Easons at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the program or to find out how you can sponsor a participating child.
